When we got back from break I think the students adjusted very well. My intermediate and advanced class had CTE state practice test. This means were tested on the standards that we teach them. This was just a practice test so it was ok that we tested them on the Monday after spring break. The good news is that the results are immediate and they all passed with flying colors. My beginning class came back read to work. I knew that the day after spring break would be a tough day for them to really concentrate so I did not want them to do anything to overwhelming. We played a warm up game where I showed them how important it is for them to pay attention. That was a lot of fun. We then had a quick lecture on sanitation. The also got to spend some time in preschool and observe why Ms. Janet’s room is safe. Since then they have been very focused. They know what I expect from them. We always have a lot of things going on here. We just had our 8th grade night where the 8th graders get to see what our program is all about. Soon we have the 8th grade parent night. We have AIMS coming up. That week I’m not too tough on the girls because I know they’re stressed. Competition is coming up April 13th and 14th. That is a huge deal and we have been getting our students prepared for it. We have CTE breakfast next Thursday where all of Amphi’s CTE is coming here with their advisory committees to discuss our programs. This is an all day event. That is my first day giving my class to a sub so I’m a bit nervous about them misbehaving. We also have spaghetti dinner where the preschoolers get to showcase their artwork in an art gallery!

Congrats on the practice test for your students. I have observed them being taught in a variety of ways this semester so they are all retaining what they learned! Thanks for sharing.
