Rodeos were initially an aspect of open-range ranching in the late nineteenth century, contests of skill between cowhands. Although the rodeo eventually became a professional sport, it began as an amusement of working cowboys. Rodeos and roundups alike brought together people who led socially isolated lives and were festivals in which horsepeople proud of their occupation and expertise displayed fancy riding and expert roping. Cowboys played card games on blankets spread out in the firelight, exchanged songs, and occasionally engaged in "augering" matches, contests in story telling.Read more: http://www.answers.com/topic/rodeo#ixzz1EcyLT1ev

I have found that something that scared the life out of me has become extremely comfortable.
I have found a way to connect to those that give other teachers a hard time and use their powers for good.
I have learned that sometimes things won't be perfect. Ok, never. Maybe it's ok to stumble as long as you don't fall flat, never to get up again.
I have learned that this life is like being a college athlete as I have been scouted a lot since last semester. I was almost roped in by the ladies at sunnyside school district last semester, am being talked to regarding an opportunity in marana unified school district, and today had someone from coolidge unified school district come by to watch me and discuss a position next year. Maybe I should hold out and see which district offers me a sports car.

Well said, Brandon!
You guys have talents and a major that is sought after.
Enjoy the chase!
I think that one thing that I am proud of is teaching without using a powerpoint! I used to be addicted to them and now...I've only done it once in class!!
I have learned to go to bed late and get up early.
I have learned to politely tell people that I am not a student without taking it too hard lol
I have also learned that it is a lot easier to point out mistakes in myself than it is to find the good...which I am not sure goes here.
Anyway, I have learned to survive.
Alissa,
I am definitely with you on being able to point out mistakes. It seems the lessons I am most critical of are the lessons that my cooperating teacher finds to be great.
I think is the perfect sentence to sum up the majority of what we've learned:
"I have learned to survive"
I can definitely say this is not what I expected it to be.
(PS Alissa, you don't text or call enough.)

I think we can all say we have learned to survive :) Dr. Kelly, I thought that was very interesting what you and jennifer said at the mid evlauation...I never realized how much I underestimate myself! I never realized how hard I am on myself at times or the very big one..how I expect myself to fail! It was a nice eye opener to hear from both of you of how well I really am doing. And I seem to be proving myself wrong that failure is not in my path and that I can really do this. :)
P.S 5th period was great today!
