Later in the week I will post the videotape of the final student teacher seminar for Nick to see and the rest of us to reflect on when we have time. You four are really something special! It has been a pleasure helping you become the teachers that you now are!!

Certification Information

MAY 28 - Certification Day Room 227 This is when you can get your secondary certification in person. There will be more information on this on the COE listserve as the date gets closer.

(Dr. Kellly will have already given you your letter for CTE-FACS certification which will have to be sent or taken in to the ADE certification office as they will not process those on this day.)

MAY 29 - Any institutional recommendations for secondary certification not picked up on May 28th will be mailed to you.
If students need additional information have them contact Susan O'Hagan at sohagan1@email.arizona.edu She will be in the Dean's office on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:30 - 4:30 but will receive emails every day.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR FACS STUDENT TEACHERS

Friday, April 17 The first required student survey (T-PREP) will be up and running at 5:00 am. You will be contacted at your email address. Please complete this ASAP.

Friday, April 24 The U of A survey will be sent to your email address but will be sent from a provider company called Zoomerang. If you have a problem getting this survey, please have them contact Meredith 621-5906
Both of above survey assessments must be completed before student teacher grades will be posted.

APRIL 24 MANDATORY CAREER FAIR for STUDENT TEACHERS 10:00 - 1:00
ALL student teachers are required to attend the Career Fair and should report to the North Ballroom at 10:00 on April 24th. Once you have experienced the Career Fair you may leave. You do not need to stay during the whole time. Bring your CATCARD and also please make sure the time card reflects the correct date.

2010 Student teachers will be present and Student Teacher portfolios due!

APRIL 27 RSVP DEADLINE FOR THE CALS graduation event.
Each graduating student who submits the rsvp by April 27, 2008 may request up to five tickets for their guests. (Tickets are needed for guests only. Graduating students do not need tickets to participate.)Tickets will only be released to the graduating student.Detailed information regarding tickets will be sent in an April email.

On April 29th – May 1st (9:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
you may come into Forbes room 211 to inquire about availability of any unclaimed tickets. Available unclaimed tickets FOR THE CALS GRADUATION. Will only be distributed on a space available basis.

APRIL 30 NEW TEACHER CANDIDATE RECEPTION - Not required but strongly encouraged! Arizona Museum of Art 5:00 - 7:00 All student teachers are invited through their email. You need to RSVP to this event (one way or the other) by answering the 'Zoomerang" invitation.

MAY 15 NORTON SCHOOL GRADUATION RECEPTION, McClelland Park 3:00-4:30 PM Must RSVP to Ramona St. Cyr limited number of guests allowed.

MAY 16 COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND LIFE SCIENCES GRADUATION
Centennial Hall, 10:30 am
Registration starts at 9:45 am. The ceremony starts at 10:45 am. The
ceremony last for about one hour to one and one half hours.
