Well it looks like I have everything in order. I've bought my cap, gown, and tassel. I've also gotten my guest tickets for the CALS ceremony. Now I just need to find a dress for graduation which is not going so well. Booo! Well I'm at the FCCLA Conference with 6 of my interior design students. They competed today and later we will hear the results and awards will be presented. I'll keep you posted on how many get medals, etc.

All of my students came home with medals in Interior Design. We ended up having three bronze medals, two silver medals, and one gold medal. The gold medal winner is also eligible to be a national contender and one of the silver medalists is the alternate.

Lauren Moraga took 7 students and all received a medal as well. Two bronze winners in applied technology, and one silver in applied technology which was also the national contender. Then she has one bronze for early childhood, and three silver medals in early childhood.

Megan's students and Lauren Mortenson's students also did very well but I do not know the exact medal count for them.

I just received notice that the NEW TEACHER RECEPTION has been CANCELLED. (I doubt that you were planning on going since it is optional and you all have much on your plates. In the interest of accuracy, I am posting this update to the list.)
