Have you participated in any professional development at your school? Have you participated in any other extracurricular activities at your school?

I have participated in professional development. We have a meeting with the staff every tuesday for professional development reasons. I also attend weekly 2 hour smart board lesson which are offered free and really neat. That is not something I have to do that is just something I do in my free time to further myself as an educator. I go to all the meeting Jennifer has about our students and all the CTE meetings about budget cuts and everything. I also will be attending the FCCLA conference tomorrow all day. I plan to sign up to help prom and I obviously am taking part in all our after school fundraisers.

thats great! i highly suggest attending professional conferences if you can- they are so helpful and informative. even if you dont necessarily use all the info now, they will come in handy in the future. i went to a bunch of dif child dev workshops/ conferences and they were great

any updates on the cte situation for next year?

Ok I know this is really late but this week was even more crazy both my daughter and I got sick. I go to weekly meetings both staff and CTE meetings. I also try to observe a different teacher and fill out an observation sheet about what teching methods I learned and can use in my own classroom. I am also involved with our FCCLA chapter and our CCAP students. So that takes up all of my free time.
